The gift of adaptability

The demands of modern life are many, especially when we're centering our lives in service - to children, to a creative idea, to a community.  And parents, educators, public servants and professionals need the tools and support to effectively manage their stress, to easily access their productivity & creativity, and avoid burnout.

The research on mindfulness interventions is clear.

Mindfulness practices have been found to:

  • increase focus and positive emotional states

  • decrease emotional reactivity, stress & anxiety

  • boost immunity

  • strengthen the functional brain networks associated with attention, compassion, innovation & creativity

Empowering your people with these evidence-based tools, practices & strategies helps them feel happier, be healthier, and experience more resilience inside the rush of their day-to-day lives.  Resilience and adaptability are resources that ripple out, positively impacting others in families, classrooms and workplaces.

These benefits are more likely to occur when your staff, students, or group are engaged in what they're learning.

I am a mindfulness expert & educator who'll meet your people where they're at and get them excited to practice what they're learning - so they see results.

Certified in yoga, mindfulness, wellness education, and integrative change work, I'm also an award-winning educator with an M.A. In Educational Leadership & over 20 years of experience in program development and delivery.

Known for my accessible and approachable teaching style, I make learning about mindfulness, wellbeing, and applied neuroscience simple, effective, engaging & fun.

Robin Lyons

I've spent years developing a deep understanding of wellbeing, the nervous system, and the somatic and mindfulness practices that best support busy people in stressful environments.  With multiple certifications in yoga, meditation, mindfulness, wellness education, and integrative change work, I've dedicated myself to finding the practices that make a measurable difference.

But first I was a social worker, a classroom teacher, and parent to 2 neurodiverse kids.

I understand the pressure of working in fast-paced environments where the demands have a real impact on the lives of others.

In my professional life, I've trained foster parents, taught high school English, and delivered professional development programs to teachers in schools throughout the Bay Area, leading the professional development of multiple school sites as a Coordinator of Curriculum and Instruction.  I earned an MA in Educational Leadership with a focus on educational equity and served on the Executive Boards and Councils of multiple schools and non-profits.

I've won awards for my curriculum design and my teaching.

And I've trained meditation teachers on the latest developments in neuroscience and wellbeing research as a lecturer at the Joy of Yoga School of Integrative Learning, co-wrote an online Biology textbook for English learners, and have coached parents, teachers & professionals on the evidence-based tools and practices that support mental and emotional wellbeing.

If you're looking for someone who knows these practices inside and out, who can also deliver impactful educational experiences for your people with warmth, I would love to discuss how I can help.
